After almost a year of heavy traffic around the Ngurah Rai Airport and The Bypass, we are finally near the completion of the anticipated Underpass Simpang Tugu Ngurah Rai. This underpass constructed for the primary purpose of reducing and dispersing the heavy traffic around the Airport Roundabout, with the expected 50% traffic dispersion around this area. It is scheduled to be opened by the President of Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo at the end of September 2018; with the upcoming IMF convention set on the 8-12th October, this underpass is expected to be the final piece of the puzzle to solve the heavily congested traffic leading on to Bali’s only International Airport.
Our new and improved bus schedules are created to anticipate this new traffic movement around this area. We expect better and smoother operation from our central hub of T-Galleria Shopping Mall to both Nusa Dua and Jimbaran. We also further extend our Line 3 (Kuta Line) and line 4 (Legian Line) to include our hub at T-Galleria again while still covering the majority of the tourist area in Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak. Line 5 (Ubud ), however, remains the same, as no significant traffic changes are expected along this route, keeping this trendy line similar to our previous time schedules.
Again, we aim to improve the flexibility of our bus routes and also to cover most of the tourist attractions around South Bali. Keeping this purpose intact, we hope our newest schedule can better cater to passenger’s demand but remains as efficient as ever, keeping Kura-Kura Bus is currently the most reliable public shuttle bus in Bali.
